When Chankaska Creek Winery decided to get into the crowded canned wine space, they handed Nordeast some great wine and a blank canvas. Our goal was to create a brand from scratch that would make a great summer pontoon or patio wine that could be served right out of the cooler. An extra challenge was making the brand stand out on the shelves despite very little media support. The result was Y wines—three different kinds of wine, each with a minimum of five unique can designs espousing the idea of “Y not have more fun?” In addition to the on-shelf design we found a variety of unique and less expensive ways to get the word out.
